An electronic program guide (EPG) adds show names and broadcast times to live channels. Guide data comes from your playlist or portal provider; SageIPTV does not create the schedules.
EPG for an M3U playlist
Ask your content provider for its EPG source URL and confirm it covers the channels in your playlist. In the iOS app, open EPG sources, add a source, and enter its name and URL. Save the source, then open TV Guide for a channel.
Guide channel identifiers must match the channels in your playlist. A guide from a different source may use different identifiers even when channel names look similar.
EPG for an Xtream Codes portal
When you connect a portal, SageIPTV requests the guide information available from that provider. Open a live channel’s TV Guide to view its schedule. Adding a separate guide URL is not the first step for a portal account.
If the provider returns no program information, contact it to confirm that the account includes EPG data.
If a channel has no program information
- Confirm the channel plays. A stream problem and a schedule problem can have different causes.
- For M3U playlists, check the EPG source URL and whether it covers that channel.
- Check your device’s date, time, and time zone if listings appear at unexpected times.
- Reopen TV Guide to request available data. If it is still empty, ask the provider to check the schedule and channel identifiers.
What EPG does and does not include
EPG is a schedule, not a recording or a catch-up service. A listed program does not guarantee replay access. Schedule coverage, updates, and stream availability depend on your content source.
For the remote-based experience, see SageIPTV for Apple TV. The steps on this page describe the iOS app.
