Connect an Xtream Codes portal

Set up an Xtream Codes portal in SageIPTV for iOS with your server address, port, username and password.

Choose Portal when your content source gives you an Xtream Codes server address and login credentials. SageIPTV uses those details to load the content available to that account.

What you need

Have your server address, port, username, and password ready. Enter the values supplied by your content provider. A SageIPTV purchase does not create a provider account or include a channel subscription.

If your source only supplies a direct M3U playlist link, use the M3U guide.

Add the portal

  1. Open the playlist list, add a playlist, and select Portal.
  2. Enter a name for the account so you can recognize it later.
  3. Fill in the server URL and port exactly as your provider supplied them. Check whether the address uses HTTP or HTTPS.
  4. Enter the username and password, then add the portal. Wait for the account check and content loading to complete.
  5. Open the saved account and browse Live, Videos, or Series. Available categories depend on your provider.

If the account will not connect

  • Access denied: confirm the username and password, including capitalization, and check the account status with your provider.
  • Invalid response: verify the server address, port, and the Portal playlist type. A general website URL may not be the service endpoint.
  • Server unavailable: check your internet connection and ask the provider whether the service is running.
  • Empty categories: the account may not include that content, or the provider may need to update it.

Guide information and refresh

Portal program information comes from the provider. If the channel list is out of date, refresh the playlist. If channels play but program listings are missing, see the EPG troubleshooting guide.

These form instructions describe the iOS app. The Apple TV app also supports Xtream Codes portals, with its own remote-based interface.
